I WAS BORN...

Here I am, Julian Davis, a few hours after I was born. I'm attached to a respirator, and wired ten ways to Sunday. My new home is the Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) at Alta Bates Hospital. Everyone is very nice to me here, but I don't really know what's going on because I'm still supposed to be inside in that warm, dark comforting place...
		My parents are in shock, too, because I wasn't supposed to come so early. Daddy says I came out fighting, wailing at the top of my lungs. I love it when Daddy takes me out of my isolette, being careful of all my lines and wires, and holds me on his hairy chest...
